Treatment Methods

We use a variety of treatment methods to help patients manage pain, reduce inflammation, improve range of motion, and strengthen muscles.
The specific treatment methods that a physiotherapist will use will vary depending on the individual’s needs and goals.

Some common physiotherapy treatment methods include:

Whole Body Assessment: We use a whole body assessment method to find the cause of your problem, not just the end result or symptoms of the dysfunction. This method is building popularity in the healthcare industry currently.

Physiotherapy Rehabilitation / Exercise Therapy: Using traditional approaches to rehabilitating post-operative, injury, fall prevention or various other dysfunctional human movement conditions.

Dry Needling: Uses very fine needles in a safe and controlled manner to release tightness from muscles around the body.

Trigger Point Therapy: Focuses on relaxing, targeting Trigger Points or ‘knots’ in muscles throughout the body.

Clinical Massage: Using various massage and soft tissue techniques to relax and unwind your tight and overactive muscles.

Joint Mobilisation: A common technique used to “free up joints”.

Fascial Release: Using a gentle release for fascia can unlock tightened muscles which are problematic and stubborn.

Functional Movement Therapy: A blend of ground-based, padded stick based and contemporary training exercises with a complete progression from beginner to expert to address neural issues (where possible), motor pattern dysfunctions, reaction times, balance, and proprioception.

Clinical Pilates: Mat-based and ground-based rehab exercises available.
